Before you write — what we can and can't do

We can: fix errors, answer questions about how programs work, and add missing information to guides. We can't: check your application status, approve or speed up applications, or access any carrier's systems — we're an independent guide, not a carrier. For application status, use your carrier's check-status page (linked with each carrier in our provider directory) or call their support number.

Reporting a scam

If someone charged you a fee for a "free government phone" or "government grant," report it to the FTC at reportfraud.ftc.gov — and feel free to tell us too, so we can warn readers about the pattern.
